Description

Nye Time is one of those charts that seem to work well in any place in your program or festival set. It’s a relaxed, half-time “swunk” (swing-funk!) Steely Dan-inspired chart for advancing groups that is sure to be a big hit with everyone! Trumpet and tenor sax solos can be played using concert D and F Dorian scales, and notated rhythm parts offer effective comping rhythms to enhance the tuneful melody. A strong shout chorus sets up the return to the melody, followed by some solo space from your drummer. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included in each set.
