Description

This arrangement of Chick Corea’s Sea Journey was written for an intermediate level vocal jazz ensemble (no extreme ranges, and very few splits in soprano and tenor only.) Tenors and basses set up the opening ostinato, with ethereal sopranos and altos taking the melody. An open solo section (vocal or instrumental) includes some very cool background lines. The ending is very powerful, making this a good choice to close your concert or festival set. A master rhythm part (mostly chord symbol;s with slashes) is included.
