Description

This has always been one of my favorite standards. Here, I’ve arranged it as a medium tempo straight-ahead swing chart that blends hip small group writing, a solid Basie groove, and a shout chorus + alto solo that’ll burn the house down! Each small group horn (trumpet, alto, tenor, trombone) gets solo space. This version has no flutes/clarinets/bass clarinet; the only double is alto 1/soprano. Lead trumpet to high G.
