Commissioned by the Jazz Composers Orchestra

i LOVE this up-tempo samba treatment of Angels We Have Heard On High and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! It’s a tour de force for the entire band, and features extended solos for soprano, trombone, and trumpet. There are enough reharmonization and tonality shifts to keep everyone on their toes :)- as well as a few woodwind doubles (alto 1/soprano, alto 2/flute, bari sax/bass clarinet.) This would be a fantastic closing chart for a December concert or festival.
